13X Molecular Sieve For Aerosols

Aerosols are fine particulate matter suspended in gases, ranging in size from nanometers to micrometers. They include primary particles such as PM2.5 and dust, as well as secondary particles formed from VOCs and acidic gases. Aerosols not only exacerbate smog and reduce visibility, but also cause pipeline corrosion and equipment failure in industrial settings. Traditional filtration technologies are ineffective at removing submicron-sized and secondary aerosols. Therefore, adsorption technologies that can adsorb their precursors (such as moisture and VOCs) at the molecular level have become key to solving aerosol problems.

13X Molecular Sieve for Aerosols

13X Molecular Sieve Adsorbent

13X molecular sieve is a synthetically produced crystalline sodium aluminosilicate salt. Due to its high specific surface area, high strength, large pore size (approximately 10 Å), and thermal and chemical stability, it can efficiently adsorb water molecules and molecules with a diameter less than 10 Å. It is suitable for purifying various specific gases and removing harmful aerosol components, making it an ideal adsorbent material for treating aerosol-related pollution.

Working Principle: 13X molecular sieves directly reduce the "raw materials" for secondary aerosol formation by efficiently adsorbing gaseous pollutants such as SO₂, NOx, and VOCs.

Through deep drying, it removes water molecules, inhibits particle hygroscopic growth and acid mist formation, controlling aerosols at the source. Simultaneously, it performs integrated deep adsorption of multiple pollutants, including water, oil vapor, VOCs, and acidic gases, achieving clean gas output.

Key Application Areas:

Ultra-purification of compressed air and industrial gases: Used at the downstream end of compressed air system dryers (adsorption dryers), or in purification devices for high-purity gases (such as nitrogen, argon, and hydrogen) to deeply remove moisture, oil vapor, and CO₂, preventing condensation into droplets or acidic aerosols in pipelines. This protects downstream pneumatic tools, spraying equipment, and instruments, meeting the highest standards in semiconductors, food packaging, and breathing air applications.

Pretreatment of Natural Gas and Process Gas: Before natural gas liquefaction (LNG), pipeline transportation, or chemical synthesis, the raw gas is dehydrated and decarbonized (CO₂ and H₂S are removed) to prevent pipeline ice blockage and corrosion caused by hydrates and acidic aerosols, protecting cryogenic equipment and catalysts.

Adsorption, Concentration, and Treatment of Industrial Waste Gas (VOCs): 13X molecular sieve zeolite, as the core medium of rotary or fixed-bed adsorption concentrators, efficiently adsorbs low-concentration, high-volume VOCs from industries such as spraying, printing, and chemicals, directly reducing VOC emissions that can form secondary organic aerosols (SOA) at the source.

Faced with the increasingly severe challenge of aerosol pollution, Super Packing Mall 13X molecular sieve desiccant, with its unique molecular-level adsorption capacity, effectively curbs the formation and hazards of aerosols through precise adsorption of gaseous precursors and deep drying, providing a highly efficient solution for source control.
