4A molecular sieve, also known as 4A zeolite, is a sodium-form Type A molecular sieve with an effective pore size of 4 Å (approximately 0.4 nanometers). Capable of adsorbing molecules with kinetic diameters smaller than 4 Å-such as water, methanol, ethanol, CO₂, H₂S, ethylene, and propylene-it is one of the most widely used types of molecular sieves in industry. It is primarily used for the deep drying of gases and liquids, including air, natural gas, alkanes, and refrigerants, and is also extensively employed in solvent dehydration, pharmaceutical packaging, and moisture protection for electronic components; additionally, it serves as a key desiccant medium in adsorption dryers and air compressors.

1. Is the pressure dew point failing to meet process requirements during drying, resulting in poor product quality?

  Utilize high-performance 4A molecular sieves with precise pore sizes (0.4 nm) that strongly adsorb water molecules (0.28 nm) to achieve deep drying. They offer a static water adsorption capacity of ≥22% and can achieve deep drying to a dew point below -70°C.

2. Is low adsorption capacity or improper loading causing airflow "short-circuiting," resulting in dehydration efficiency far below design specifications?

  Employ a composite loading process: fill the lower section of the adsorption tower with activated alumina (for pre-treatment to remove bulk free water) and the upper section with 4A molecular sieves (for precision drying). Optimize regeneration conditions and calculate tower diameter and fill volume to ensure dense packing and prevent gas short-circuiting.

3. Are the molecular sieves pulverizing due to insufficient strength or airflow erosion, creating dust that clogs filters?

  PM 4A zeolite molecular sieves feature high strength (≥100 N/particle for 3–5 mm spheres), erosion resistance, and high resistance to pulverization (attrition rate ≤0.2%).

  PM molecular sieves are regenerable and durable, typically lasting 3–5 years or longer, thereby reducing overall operating costs.
