DMF: It has the characteristics of low toxicity (LD_(50) 2240 mg/kg orally in rats), high efficiency and broad-spectrum antibacterial characteristics, and has a special antibacterial effect on molds. It can be used to prevent mold in bread, feed, cosmetics, fish, meat, vegetables and fruits. The anti-mold effect of DMF for bread is much better than that of calcium propionate. According to domestic research, DMF has good antifungal ability, and its antifungal effect on feed is better than acidic preservatives such as propionate, sorbic acid and benzoic acid. It can completely inhibit many molds and bacteria in the PDA medium containing 500-800 ppm. But the EU’s attitude towards DMF: On January 29, 2009, EU member states passed a draft resolution on “guaranteeing that consumer products containing dimethyl fumarate will not be placed on the European market”, which came into effect on May 1, 2009 . The draft clearly stipulates that if the content of dimethyl fumarate in a consumer product or its parts exceeds 0.1 mg/kg, or the product itself has declared its content of dimethyl fumarate, it will be considered as "containing fumarate "Dimethyl" products will be prohibited from entering the EU market for circulation and sales.
Therefore, if a desiccant manufacturer wants to export to Europe and other places, it must be a desiccant that does not contain DMF. The desiccants produced by our company do not contain DMF, pass the RHOS test, and meet the European and American export standards.
