Molecular Sieve 4A
4A molecular sieve is often used in adsorption dryer as an efficient adsorbent. Its pore size is 4 angstroms. The diameter of water molecules is 2.8 angstroms, which is smaller than the pore size of 4A molecular sieve. Therefore, water molecules can enter the pores of molecular sieve and be adsorbed. Other common molecules in the gas treated by the dryer, such as nitrogen and oxygen, have molecular diameters greater than 4 angstroms and cannot enter the pores, thereby achieving selective adsorption of water in the gas and achieving the purpose of drying the gas.

Advantages
Efficient Water Absorption: 4A molecular sieve desiccant has strong hydrophilicity and high water adsorption capacity. In the adsorption dryer, it can quickly and effectively absorb moisture in the gas, so that the water content of the dried gas is extremely low, which can meet many industrial applications with high requirements for gas dryness.
Good Stability: It has good thermal stability and chemical stability. During the working process of the adsorption dryer, whether in the normal temperature adsorption stage or in the high temperature regeneration stage, the 4A zeolite can maintain a stable structure and performance, is not easy to lose adsorption capacity due to temperature changes or chemical reactions with other substances, and can withstand multiple adsorption-desorption cycles.
Long Service Life: Due to its good stability, under normal use conditions, the 4A molecular sieve bead has less wear and can maintain good adsorption performance for a long time, thereby extending the operation cycle of the adsorption dryer and the replacement cycle of the molecular sieve, and reducing the maintenance cost of the equipment.
Applications
Air Drying: In the compressed air system, the adsorption dryer often uses zeolite 4A molecular sieve to remove moisture from the air and provide dry compressed air for industrial production. For example, in the electronic manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceutical and other industries, the dryness of compressed air is very high. The 4A molecular sieve adsorbent can effectively reduce the moisture content in the air to a level that meets the production requirements, preventing equipment corrosion and product quality degradation caused by moisture.
Natural Gas Drying: During the extraction and transportation of natural gas, it is necessary to dry the natural gas to prevent water from forming hydrates at low temperatures and blocking the pipeline, and to avoid moisture from corroding the pipeline and equipment. 4A molecular sieve can be used in adsorption dryers for deep drying of natural gas to ensure that the water content of natural gas meets the requirements of transportation and use.
Drying of Other Gases: For some other industrial gases, such as hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, etc., drying treatment is also required in certain production processes. Molecular sieve 4A can also play a good drying role in adsorption dryers. According to the properties and drying requirements of different gases, by reasonably designing the process parameters of the adsorption dryer, efficient drying of various gases can be achieved.
