Mass Transfer Ceramic Intalox Saddle is processed by continuous extrusion, which has the advantages of high flux, low pressure and high efficiency. The packed bed with rectangular saddle ring has a large void ratio, and there are mostly circular arc liquid channels in the bed, which reduces the resistance of gas passing through the bed, and also reduces the radial diffusion coefficient of liquid flowing down.

They are also good for distillation especially when one is working with acids.It is resistant to corrosion by various inorganic acids, organic acids and organic solvents except HF. 

Compared with the Raschig ring packing of the same material, the porcelain saddle packing has the advantages of large flux, pressure drop and high efficiency.

The main reason is that the saddle packing bed of the same specification has a larger porosity, and most of the beds are arc-shaped liquid channels, which reduces the resistance of the gas passing through the bed, and also makes the diameter of the liquid flow downward. The diffusion coefficient decreases. Therefore, the saddle packing layer has better retention of liquid distribution than the Raschig ring packing layer, that is, under the condition of good initial liquid distribution, the packing layer maintains a better liquid distribution state, which is beneficial to the improvement of the mass transfer coefficient.
